There are few games which can match the calibre of Wild Arms. On a somewhat related note, getting the sounds right in this game during emulation was a bit of a task, so hearing high pitch effects (namely, the trance initiation sound effect) wouldn't be a new thing to me. Released on April 30th, 1997 it stands out as a gem of an RPG. Thanks, sounds like I'm going to want to grab it then since it's the only way I've played it so the difference would probably be noticeable for me. For this game, it's best to have the sounds not pitch when having fast forward on. Part synth-pop album, part music-action videogame, Sayonara Wild Hearts explores heartbreak in a dreamy fantasy world. There were a lot of empty, and missing sounds (like Prima Vista theater stage lightning, sound event sounds, etc.) A bunch of spell animation sound dull.
